the metric system

i told my kids to remember the conversions of the metric system by thinking about

King Henry Died Drinking Chocolate Milk  (kilo, hecto, deca, deci, centi, and milli.)

then i hear...

"maybe king henry was allergic to milk."

    I LOVE Mnemonic Devises.
    Mary's Violet Eyes Made John Stay Up Nights Pleading. (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto -- although, I guess Pluto has been "demoted" and isn't considered a planet any more.)
    How 'bout GIRLS EAT POTATO CHIPS TIRELESSLY TRYING TO PLEASE HEALTHY JERKS. (Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, Thessalonians, Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Hebrews, James)
