i graded some math tests and the majority of the grades were terrible. i pointed out to the class i didn't understand their failure considering all the help i give them...for example
"one of the questions says, 'choose one way you can solve a problem and tell how it helps you'. well....i've posted all the ways we've learned to solve problems on the wall! all you had to do was look at it!"
one girl stares wide eyed at all the posters around the room and yells,
"ms. barnes! this is a cheatin room!"
me: a what?
girl: a cheatin room! you just wantin us to cheat! the answers are all over the walls!
me: it's not cheating! it's using your resources!
