pocket full of rocks

i observed this in the hall:

a student was trying to shove a huge orange in his tiny little boy pants pocket.

teacher: why do you have an orange?
kid: it won't fit in my pocket.
teacher: won't it fit in your jacket pocket?
kid: yes but they are both full of rocks.
