i have to do DIBELS testing each quarter. this program has each student read a short passage to the teacher aloud and then calculates their reading fluency and comprehension. one story this quarter was about pizza and how the most common type of pizza we have today was first made in naples, however, pizza has been around since ancient greece!
when students get to the word "Naples" they say the funniest things. here are a few of my favorites.
nipples
nipilick
napellie
nappells
napolis
nopoly
So just imagine hearing sweet people read, "The common pizza we know today came from Nipilick!"
